Final Reminders

We have a large fleet of boats participating in the Blairgowrie race. BYS have gone to quite some effort to welcome and accommodate the fleet after the race.

Crew Declarations and Sign On

Crew declarations: Please submit your crew declarations today. Please ensure that every crew member has an Emergency name and phone number. The emergency contact must not be competing in the race.

Sign-on: Please sign-on on Saturday morning. Please refer to NTC-6 on the Race Documents page for information about the sign-on procedure.

Berthing

You must only berth in the space allocated to you.

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (BYS) has done a wonderful job accommodating us. Please check the marina map below and only berth in your nominated berth.

  • It is a condition of entry that boats must berth in accordance with the directions of the BYS Marina Master.
  • As guests of BYS please only berth in your nominated berth as listed at the bottom of this page
  • Please ensure that you have fenders and your own mooring lines.

Insurance requirements: All vessels are to be insured, at the owner’s cost, for the replacement value of the vessel. Such insurance is to include public liability and removal of wreck provisions of not less than ten million dollars ($10,000,000).

Access cards: 2 x access cards per boat will be left in the black drop boxes at the end of each marina arm. 4 x extra passes per boat can be collected from the bar. There is a $50 fee for each pass not returned so please make sure you return them. To return the access passes, put them in the locked silver letterbox (under the black drop box where they were collected from).  Do NOT put them in black boxes.

Presentation

The presentation time will be advised by the race directors by SMS.

Novice Return Race

For those doing the Novice Return Race (NRR) on Sunday 17 August, there will be a pre-race briefing on the deck at BYS at 8:00 am.

You must submit your Crew Role and Experience Declaration to the Race Director in person, by SMS or email to be eligible for scoring in the NRR race. CRED forms can be found on the Race Documents page.
