12:30 Update from Race Director:

GINAN is having a great race and is still leading the fleet. It was a difficult second leg; however, most boats have now rounded mark 2.

Streetcar Racing has retired for the day, with all safe and well on board.

10:30 Update from Race Director:

GINAN is leading the fleet and is close to the second mark. Second is VERTIGO, with the remaining fleet chasing hard. The wind has slightly picked up, increasing the speed over the course from 1 knot 30 minutes ago to 3-4 knots currently.
Today is a perfect demonstration of how the Coastal Sprints are a fantastic “come and try” platform if you are considering ocean or coastal racing

Race Start:

The West Offshore Products Coastal Sprint Race 2 is off and racing!
It is a shortened course today as the wind is exceptionally light (> 10 knots); however, it is absolutely glorious on the water! 🌞
The fleet of 15 boats neatly crossed the start line off Queenscliff with the north-westerly prompting a spectacular kite run to the first marker. Most of the fleet is now rounding the first mark and reaching towards Cape Schanck.
