Boat Weighing Day 8th September 2013
The next Yachting Victoria boat weighing day is to be held on Sunday 8 September 2013 at Sandringham Yacht Club The weighing fee will be $140 per boat inc GST. This is the most cost effective means for weighing your boat Weighing is necessary in order to establish IRC and AMS Ratings. All boats must be weighed initially and whenever changes are made that affect the weight. Any boats with provisional AMS ratings must weigh on this occasion in order to retain an AMS rating All boats weighed previously on a travel lift should weigh again, as weights taken on a single point load cell will be required for these measurement rules if changes to the certificate are required in future Time slots will be allocated initially between 0800 and 1400, although it may be necessary to move outside these limits – subject to demand and tides When booking a time slot take into account the tidal depth and your draft. Low tide is tba and high tide is tba This event is run by volunteers from the YV Measurement Rating Office, so your patience and cooperation would be appreciated
