It’s time to pull out the Winter Woollies and enter the ORCV 2013 Winter Series.
Have fun in the Racing division or avoid the frantic short course traffic and enter the Cruising division. We are aiming to build on last year’s success and see more of the “Cruiser racers” on the water.
The Series gets underway on Sunday 30th June 2013 with the Annual Practice Flare Shoot before racing. The format of short and longer course races, the traditional long bay race and the passage race to Geelong are all on again.
This is a great event for training new crew and team building before the summer season.

The Geelong Race conditions saw many tired and relieved faces getting over the line on Saturday afternoon. Some great competitions fought through the series came to a close and the place-getters in each category were happy to receive some wine or other prizes from Helly Hansen as compensation for their hard work. The race was excellent preparation for races later in the year, and all competitors took advantage of the comfortable surrounds of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club to relax post-race and watch the presentations.
A huge amount of credit is due for all participants, and a special shout out to everyone who volunteered their time to ensure a successful race.
