XLR8 has won line honours in the Melbourne Hobart Eastcoaster in a time of 2 days 21 hours and 21 minutes. Across Banks strait they were doing 17 knots under storm jib alone, the rest of the race was a hard slog to windward. Ray tells me his troublesome rudder bearing was perfect, so it looks like he has finally fixed it. The rest of the boat was damage free apart from the shredded lazy jacks.
