Winter Series discussion night – please come along!

Over recent years we have seen participation in the ORCV Winter Series dropping, with the series almost being cancelled this year as a result.  The Geelong race seems to be popular, being a social destination race.  As a Sunday bay racing format, in a highly competitive bay racing environment, we have watched people vote with their feet, and heard many opinions on the matter along the way.  We do listen and want to know what our members want.

Have your say and participate in forming change ?

Come along to Bells Hotel in South Melbourne (157 Moray St, in the downstairs area near the TAB) on Monday 13th November from 6.30pm until about 8pm.  Grab a meal and a drink and join in the facilitated discussion session.

Think through the following questions before you come:

  • What is our objective for having a Winter Series?
  • Should we even have one?
  • If we do have one, what format would work best?
  • What should we charge to enter?
  • How do we market it to maximise participation?

The style of the discussion will be positive and looking to the future. A potentially noisy environment, we will carefully manage the discussion so everyone can have their say.
