Scoring System
For each race entered, boats will accumulate points in the championship according to their result in the race or according to their best result if entered in multiple divisions.
Points will be awarded in each race in the championship as follows: 1st-100 points, 2nd-98 points, 3rd-97 points, 4th-96 points and so on. Yachts will be scored on their best four results from all ORCV ocean races.
The best four results must include two ORCV ocean races exceeding 100 nautical miles. Ties will be broken in favour of the most 1st places, 2nd places, 3rd places and so on.
Entry Procedure
Entry to the offshore championship is free in itself. Entry in any ORCV ocean race shall constitute entry to the championship.
